Halloween (a perspective) & Children

I have been asked this from a number of parents.  Each year, I post gently about my concerns about Halloween.  This time, I chose to be more direct.  Partly as I am so used to moving on crappy energies at this time of year, I think it’s about time others consider what Halloween truly is: A satanic event calling in all lower energy forms.  This includes stuck souls, tricky souls, harrowed souls, entities and other interfering rubbish on the lower astral planes.

For those adults seeking more information stuck, tricky and harrowed souls are all those who haven’t fully transitioned after death.  They are stuck on the astral planes.  Some are just stuck for example those that died in traumatic circumstances.  Then there are those who can be a pain e.g. witches not of the light that choose to remain and taunt others in living form and then there are those who are truly suffering.  Instead of a bit of trick or treating they need tender loving care and support.

Entities are more broad.  Some look like dementors in Harry Potter (I kid yee not), some don’t have much form but can attach to an auric field and cause no end of trouble including madness, behaviour changes and general suffering.  Certainly not something to be around.

I guess my personal big bug bear is those elderly who are genuinely afraid and do not want to answer their door at dark.  Personally, I have never seen the point of it all.  I am probably sounding a bit like Scrooge now.

Furthermore, it stuffs children full of sweets, invariably loaded with e numbers, other chemicals and toxins, which in essence is a poison which their bodies which they need to alchemise to break down.  Now I appreciate I am sounding like a party pooper, please bear with me, may I offer some suggestions along the way to objections you might be presented with from your children.  I have worked it through with mine.  This is how I did it.

“Everybody else does it!”

My reply – Er – if everybody was jumping off a cliff, would you follow?  Does Mummy follow everyone?

Invariably comes back as a no.  If not, I would challenge the desire.

“But I/we (I have 2 children) am missing out?

My reply – Missing out on what?  What is Halloween celebrating?

(We then get into this discussion)

“What is Halloween”

My reply – So, remember those times you were scared at bedtime?  And telling me you were seeing skeletons (white, red, black)/monsters (add anything else as appropriate) and you didn’t like them – Halloween is an event that connects you with these scary things.

Give them time to process this.  It is invariably met with worry and concern and conversation ends or a discussion as to how to get rid of the scary stuff.

“But everyone else has sweets and lots of them”

Would you like to choose a sweet treat in the bakery / shop / elsewhere (hopefully something that has less crap than other stuff) – Yes please is always the response.

“I want to dress up”

What would like to dress up as and why?

This will really get a 5-year-old thinking.  Mine would then realise they could go to the dressing up box anytime and be a dragon or something else instead.

“I want to carve a pumpkin”

Would you like to make pumpkin soup and eat it for the next 5 days for dinner?

This is invariably met with a no.  Given we grew up inAfrica in the early years the children are very aware of food wastage.  I remember when I told them that pumpkins were sold for commercial reasons only (not food, for carving only) and they were horrified.

Hope that helps 😊
