The traditional healing model of going to the doctor for treatment, giving over one’s personal power and accepting their word as carte blanche is becoming more & more misaligned as individuals discover alternative therapies and wizen up to the restrictions placed upon doctors from a prevailing pharmaceutical industry.  Having said that, with a plethora of modalities in the spiritual sector, it can be a minefield to navigate if new to it.  Particularly more so within the spiritual field, as adaptation (which in most part can be a function of the individuals’ gifts) can’t often be defined in the 3^rd dimensional.

Spiritual healing is more about facilitation.  This is not about giving up your personal power to a practitioner, therapist or healer.  This is recognising you are the creator of your universe.  It is a key re-emerging theme I find in spiritual mentoring.  The system has brainwashed us into separation, that all the answers lie at the end of something so called smart and that we are not theoretically in control of our destinies.  Absolutely poppycock!

Navigating the sector, however, to select a practitioner to support you is no mean feat.  Often times those most adept are hard to find, do very little advertising (it costs the price of a session to do a few flyers) and are happy with word of mouth.  Furthermore, due to lack of suitable community spaces (many have rubbish invisible energies that need clearing prior), they operate from their home space, where the frequency can be maintained, their space protected and safe and with the knowledge they won’t go bust tomorrow.

Obviously, a practitioner should be clear about their offering, priced fairly and insured.  You should be made to feel welcome, safe, comfortable in a nurturing environment.  How you feel is key, trust your intuition.  If it doesn’t feel right, it invariably isn’t.  Just like other sectors, there are cowboys.  Discernment is crucial: I have written before on this topic: Discernment & Truth – Community Retreats

Perhaps the most pressing point I would like to impart is seeing the connection from a broader perspective.  I have seen ‘healers’ that have made stuff up, others who have made me question and doubt who I am and those who operate in an illusionary world (they called in the angels, I saw only holograms).  These experiences, however, can be part of our soul journey and spiritual path.  For me, that is upturning the stones that everyone else would like to ignore (it was like it for me when I worked in business too).  Whilst challenging and confusing, these experiences are there for a reason: primarily for you to remember who you truly are and reconnect you with your soul purpose here on planet earth.
